Hello Ivonne,
Boy, can I relate to wanting to have a night out while on vacation. This past summer, while vacationing at Walt Disney World, we used both the Children's Activity Centers as well as an in-room sitter and had wonderful experiences with both.
My older two kids (ages 9 and 6) both went to the
Sandcastle Club at Disney's Beach Club. There are several other locations, as well. These child care areas are open from 4:30pm - midnight (some locations have slight variations of these operating hours). My kids had a meal there and did crafts and watched Disney classic movies with other kids their age. They had a blast. In fact, my daughter didn't want to leave when we got there to pick them up. Safety is of the utmost concern and we felt very comfortable leaving them there. Keep in mind that children must be at least 3 years of age and potty-trained. The age limit is 12 years old. To make reservations, call (407) WDW-DINE (939-3463).
Since my youngest son was not yet 3 years old at the time of our trip, we got an
in-room sitter through an independent sitter service called "Kids Night Out". These babysitters are background checked and again, we felt very safe leaving our little one in her care. She came to the room with a duffle bag full of stories and toys and coloring books to keep him entertained. This service is available for children ages 6 months old - 12 years of age. To make an appointment with a sitter, contact Kids Night Out at (407) 828-0920.
We were happy with both services and would gladly use either again, as well as recommend them to others.
I hope you are able to enjoy your evening out with your husband!
