Has anyone ever had this issue? We are staying at the campground with my cousin and her husband. They are not joining us at the park during the day and therefore they do not want the meal plan. So just the two of us are not able to purchase a meal plan????

    Hi Maribeth,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like so much fun to be planning a visit to the Walt Disney World Resort with your cousin and her husband. I think you're going to love Disney's Fort Wilderness Campground. Fort Wilderness feels like a peaceful oasis in the middle of the Most Magical Place on Earth.

Disney Dining Plans can be such a convenient addition to your vacation package. However, the Dining Plans don't fit every vacation style. You have discovered one of the quirks of the Disney Dining Plan. Everyone on the same reservation has to either have the same Dining Plan or no Dining Plan. A campsite is treated the same as a room at one of the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels

Since your cousin and her husband aren't interested in a Dining Plan, it sounds like you need a new plan to budget for your meals. My suggestion is to take the money you would have spent on a Disney Dining Plan and put it on a Disney Gift Card. You can use the Disney Gift Card to pay for your meals. If there is any money left on the Disney Gift Card at the end of your vacation, you can use it to purchase a special souvenir.

Maribeth, thank you for visiting us with your question. I hope you will let us know if we can help you with any other planning questions before your visit.
    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Amy H.
