Has anyone out there ever been chosen to stay in the castle over night, ride in a parade, or something else "magical"? How do you get chosen to do these things. After nine trips, I am celebrating my 6oth birthday and would really love it!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel Hilda ~

Congratulations on your upcoming birthday!  I can't think of a better place to celebrate a birthday than Disney World. Be sure to pick up your "Happy Birthday" button at your Disney Resort Hotel or any theme park Guest Relations location. You never know what pixie dust will come your way.

I've had lots of magical moments happen over the years including being selected for Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade at Animal Kingdom to being upgraded to a suite on Concierge Level at a Resort.  Being selected for a night in the Cinderella Castle Suite is still on my dream wish.

Typically, Guests are chosen at random to open parks or be in parades. There are times when they may have a Celebrity VIP in the park that they ask to be the Grand Marshall for the parades but usually its Guests that were lucky enough to be showered in pixie dust.

There really isn't a trick to it but if you want to increase your chances of being selected I would plan to arrive at the turnstiles super early. Show your enthusiasm by wearing ears or matching shirts. Smile big and be talkative and friendly to the Cast Members. In other words, draw some attention (in a positive way) to yourself.

If you need some ideas of some special ways to celebrate your birthday, please feel free to visit again.  We're thrilled to help you with all of your planning questions.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!!!

Wishing you minnie magical memories :-) Allison V.
