Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am excited that you stopped by with your question about planning for an upcoming (and maybe TWO!) Disney Cruise Line vacation! Planning for a vacation is always an exciting time and hopefully you’ve had a chance to explore
everything that comes with a Disney Cruise Line vacation!
My family has been on back-to-back sailings and as expected, we had a great time on our extended vacation. We simply love the “Mickey Boat” and extended stays on it, whether it be back-to-back voyages or longer itineraries. It’s definitely a nice feeling on that final night of the first sailing when you know that your adventure is about to begin again instead of ending the next morning! One thing that I will recommend about doing back-to-back sailings is to try your hardest to get the same stateroom for both voyages. We have had to change staterooms between sailings and that wasn’t too much fun, so if you can reserve the same stateroom for both sailings, I highly recommend doing that. Additionally, please know that you will likely have the same experience for the second week if you are doing the same itinerary. Some things may change depending on schedules of onboard entertainment, but menus, destinations and many onboard activities will be the same or very similar if you are going on two voyages with the same itinerary. But, it’s also nice to not have to feel like you have to get everything in during that first week if you know you have a second week coming up!
Clearly, I am always a fan of staying onboard as long as possible but who wouldn’t want to stay on vacation as long as possible?!? So, if you can make it work, I say GO FOR IT!
