Hi Ximena, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I see that you'll be visiting Walt Disney World very soon, and I'm so excited for you! And a birthday trip? How magical!
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my daughter at
The Crystal Palace last year, and my kids are begging to go back again. When you're seated for your meal, you’ll see that Winnie the Pooh and his friends are celebrating Friendship Day, and they will stop by your table for pictures and the cuddliest hugs! If you'll be traveling with kids, the buffet is very kid-friendly; my kids went back again and again and especially loved the self-service ice cream station (with yummy toppings) for dessert.
As for birthday magic, if you tell your server that you're celebrating, you may experience some pixie dust. I've celebrated a lot of birthdays at Walt Disney World, and we've received birthday cards signed by the characters and birthday desserts. At The Crystal Palace, my daughter received a vanilla cupcake with sprinkles and a candle, which she loved! Ximena, this is not guaranteed, but Cast Members do try to sprinkle pixie dust, so be sure to share that you're celebrating. While Happy Birthday wasn't sung, we did sing her a little song at the table.
I recommend calling (407) WDW-DINE to add a note to your dining reservation that you're celebrating a birthday. Also, be sure to stop by Guest Relations in the theme park, or the front desk of your resort hotel, to request a birthday button. This button lets Cast Members and fellow Guests know it's a very big day! You can also
pre-order a birthday cake to be delivered to a restaurant or to your Disney resort room if you'd like.
Sending lots of birthday wishes! Have so much fun!
Wishing you a magical vacation,
Robyn
