Hi Dylan! A warm welcome to planDisney friend.
A few weeks ago, I had the pleasure of staying at
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. And I, too, ventured between this fabulous resort and
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. The construction that closed the pathway between these two resorts remains ongoing, which may be why you are hearing mixed messages about its access. I saw pathway access but personally chose to use Disney's complimentary transportation options (more on that in a minute). From time to time, due to ongoing construction, there might be occasional closures for Guest safety as work continues bringing the extension to Disney's Polynesian Village Resort to life. You can always double-check access with a Cast Member during your visit.
Regarding transportation options, Disney's Grand Floridian is conveniently located as the next stop on the
Monorail from Disney's Polynesian Village Resort. It's a quick and easy way to switch between tropical vibes and Victorian grandeur. If you're heading the other way, I recommend taking a
Resort Boat from the dock at Disney's Grand Floridian & Spa for a picturesque sail across the Seven Seas Lagoon. It's a more efficient choice than going all the way around on the Monorail loop.
And if you have some free time, I highly recommend stopping by the
Enchanted Rose for a delightful cocktail experience. They open at 3:30pm, and I can personally vouch for the Lavender Fog as a magical treat.
Enjoy every moment at Walt Disney World, Dylan!
Louise
