Can anyone confirm that the manatees are still in Epcot? My daughter is obsessed with them and we will have to make a side trip in FL if she can't see them at the Living Seas.

    Hi Heather!

The last time we visited Epcot they still had the manatees in SeaBase in the Caribbean Coral Reef Aquarium. There are two manatees, Lii' Joe and Lou, at the aquarium. Lil' Joe is a rescued manatee who has been at various other aquariums throughout Florida until he reached is home at Disney. Disney did try to release him back to his natural habitat in 2011, but the poor little guy got stunned by the cold and was not faring well, so Disney brought him back to The Living Seas.

You can catch the feedings twice daily, at 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. The Cast Member will throw heads of romaine into the water and he will gobble them up! He eats up to 100 heads of romaine lettuce a day!

If your daughter likes sea life, I also highly suggest The Seas Aqua Tour, which is available for guests 8 or older or Epcot Seas Adventure - DiveQuest, available for guests ages 10 or over. The Dolphins in Depth tour is available for guests ages 13 and older. Call 407-WDW-TOUR to book.

    Magically,
    Stacy
