Hi Kristin, and welcome to planDisney!
Even as a local
Annual Passholder to the Walt Disney World Resort Parks, I absolutely love frequenting the Resort hotels as well. Let’s get into everything you need to know about visiting amazing hotels like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and beyond.
The great news is that you are welcome to visit as many Disney Resorts Collection hotels as you’d like during your vacation. My go-to way to do this is to use the complimentary transportation that is offered around property. For example, if you’re staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and want to visit Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you could take a bus to Magic Kingdom Park and then take a Resort hotel
FriendShip boat or Resort Monorail over to the Polynesian.
The other modes of Disney transportation between hotels and theme parks are
Disney Minnie Van Service vehicles (extra fee) and the
Disney Skyliner. These are also super fun ways to experience the magic when not in the theme parks. They’re attractions within themselves!
Keep in mind that the hotels’ parking is limited to the hotel Guests of that particular location and to Guests with advance dining reservation. So, if I drive over to one of my favorite hotels for dinner, I always make sure that I let the security guard know my plan of action and have my ID ready. You will not be able to use the pools and some other amenities if you’re not a Guest of the destination hotel; however, you are free to roam its premises, have meals, use the transportation, and shop.
Kristin, if you have any additional questions, don’t hesitate to
send them our way here at planDisney. We’re a lively crew of Disney Destinations super fans who would love to share our vacation experiences with you. Happy planning!
Magic always,
LeAndra
