Boo to You, Christopher!
I'm so thrilled to hear you'll be attending
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at
Magic Kingdom Park! It’s by far my favorite event of the year, filled with trick-or-treating, hauntingly good entertainment, and favorite Disney characters in their Halloween costumes! You’re in for a frightfully good time - get ready for a night full of magical memories.
At the party, guests are allowed and encouraged to get creative with their costumes and join in the spooktacular fun. The party is a must-do for me each fall, and I’ve seen some amazing costumes through the years! While Disney has
specific guidelines to maintain a safe and family-friendly environment, dressing like Walt Disney himself would be perfectly fine, as long as it adheres to the rules. Since Walt Disney is a historical figure and not an official Disney character like Mickey Mouse or Cinderella, dressing up as him is an awesome idea. It’s a unique and clever way to pay tribute to the man behind the magic!
If you decide to dress as a beloved and iconic figure like Walt, it’s important to keep the outfit tasteful and respectful. A classic Walt Disney look - like a suit, tie, and mustache - would certainly be recognized and appreciated by other Disney fans! I once saw a guest at the Halloween party dressed as Walt Disney in a black-and-white version! He used makeup to look like he was straight out of an old black-and-white film, complete with grayscale clothing. It was so cool - a clever and respectful nod to Walt, and it definitely caught the attention of many guests in the park.
When dressing as Walt Disney, keep in mind the costume guidelines for the party, which include:
- No costumes that are obstructive, offensive, or violent.
- No masks for guests 14 years or older (Walt’s signature mustache is fine!).
- Costumes must not drag on the ground or have sharp or dangerous accessories.
Dressing up as Walt Disney is a wonderful way to honor the legacy of the man who started it all. Remember Walt's famous words, "If you can dream it, you can do it," and have a frighteningly fa-BOO-lous time at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, filled with Disney magic and Halloween fun!
