Has anybody stayed in a Courtyard view with bunkbeds at Wilderness Lodge? My 8 yr old is concerned that it won't be as comfortable as the Polynesian. What is the room like? The view? Does it still provide a fancy 'resort' feel?

    Hi Katherine!

Disney's Wilderness Lodge is my favorite resort at Walt Disney World, so I may be just a little bit biased.:-)I am awestruck each time I come home and enter the lobby, the details are spectacular! The Wilderness Lodge offers a tranquil setting that will almost make you forget that the Magic Kingdom is just a boat ride away, but there are plenty of magical touches that will quickly remind you that this resort is all Disney. The rooms are well appointed with the same amenities as the Polynesian resort, the only real difference is that instead of two queen size beds you will have a queen size and a bunk bed (which my children were thrilled to not have to share a bed).  All rooms at the Wilderness Lodge have a slightly rustic feel with modern conveniences, I especially love the subtle tribute to Chip 'n Dale located in the shower.  The courtyard views overlooking the waterfall and pool area are amazing, I love to sit on my balcony watching the sun rise each morning ready to start my day at Walt Disney World.

The Wilderness Lodge is also a great choice for those days with less than magical weather. Since there are not multiple buildings as with the Polynesian Resort, you don't have to worry about dodging inclement weather.  Also, make sure to head down to the beach area to check out Electrical Water Pageant Parade nightly it's a great way to end your day at Walt Disney World.  Rest assured that Disney's Wilderness Lodge definitely has a 'resort' feel that is full of magical Disney touches, hopefully when you return you can join our Wilderness Lodge fan club! ;-)

I hope you have a magical vacation and please let me know if you have any more questions!

    Best Wishes!
