Hi. Anybody know if turkey legs are sold at Disney Downtown since the theme parks are closed?

Hiya, Norman, and thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!

Just like you, I have also been missing my favorite Disney snacks, from the iconic DOLE WHIP to the delicious Turkey Leg Carts! Unfortunately, turkey legs aren’t currently available at Downtown Disney District, but I’m happy to report that several other classic Disneyland Resort snacks are!

Currently, you can find Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars, Churro Toffee, and Minnie Mouse Candy Apples at Marceline’s Confectionery! Near the front of the shop, there’s a convenient freezer filled with Tollhouse Cookie Sandwiches, Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Sandwiches, Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bars, and Strawberry Juice Bars. I’m getting hungry just typing about these treats! During my recent Downtown Disney visit, by the time I arrived in the afternoon, the Churro Toffee was already sold out for the day, so, if you have your hopes set on nabbing some, I recommend arriving by noon. Marceline’s Confectionery also sells a chocolate-dipped pretzel, but it’s not the same as the Mickey Pretzel you’ll find inside the theme parks.

Are you missing Mickey-shaped Beignets from Mint Julep Bar? Me, too! For a beignet fix, stop by Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen Express for The Original New Orleans Beignets, which are equally delicious!

You can also find churros within Downtown Disney District, though they’re not quite the same as the fried-dough goodness found at the Churro Carts in the theme parks. But, you can still satisfy your churro craving at either of the two California Churro Company locations within Downtown Disney.

If you're looking for more than a quick bite, here's a list of the dining options currently available in Downtown Disney District. Of those options, here are the restaurants currently accepting reservations. If you plan to visit on a Friday or a weekend, I recommend making a reservation ahead of time. A reservation will give you priority access to the Simba Parking Lot, even when parking is temporarily paused. Parking is complimentary for now, too!

I can’t wait to return to the magic of the Happiest Place on Earth… but in the meantime, I’m thankful we have some of our favorite Disney Parks snacks to enjoy! And, if you’re feeling especially creative, I highly recommend checking out these delicious Disney Recipes from the Disney Parks Blog – they offer the perfect snack fix for all of us missing the Disneyland Resort!

Wishing you scrumptious snacks and pixie-dusted adventures, Norman! I sure hope you’ll get another taste of a turkey leg in the near future!

    Happy snacking!
