Welcome to planDisney, Irene.
Due to the pandemic, Walt Disney World is continuing its
phased reopening. So many wonderful things have returned over the past year. When I visited last June, there were, unfortunately, no nighttime fireworks shows. However, since that time, those shows have returned to Magic Kingdom Park and EPCOT. On my last trip, I got to watch
Disney Enchantment from a water taxi on Seven Seas Lagoon and
Harmonious from the Italy pavilion around World Showcase. Both were truly magical experiences.
But as the Fairy Godmother once said, "Even miracles take a little time." We are still waiting for the return of my favorite nighttime spectacular,
Fantasmic! We have been told to expect it sometime in 2022, however, the exact date has yet to be announced. I think this show is the perfect blend of fireworks, lights, music, story, and setting. It gives me chills whenever I watch it. I have such happy memories of viewing this show many years ago with my family and then again with my wife. However, I've since had two young Mouseketeers of my own and they are yet to experience it. They know the music to this show very well since we play it in our house on an almost daily basis. But alas, we are still waiting in eager anticipation for it to return. Irene, I'd encourage you to keep an eye on
Disney Parks Blog for any exciting news.
In the meantime, Irene, there are still many brilliant things happening at Walt Disney World. The
50th Anniversary Celebration is happening right now. One of my favorite things right now is the captivating
Beacons of Magic on display in each of the Theme Parks. There are also new attractions, special shows, tasty treats, delicious drinks, EARidescent decorations, unique souvenirs, and so much more! You don't want to miss it!
Irene, I hope your next Disney day is the BEST. DAY. EVER! Thanks for stopping by planDisney.
