Hi Elisabeth Thanks for answering my first question so fast. We won't be doing any character dinning. So is the quick service really worth it for just everyday on the go dinning?

Bridget, thanks for returning with your question. Hearing back from guests is one of my favorite aspects of serving on the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

The Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan is the way to go for savings, convenience, budgeting, and sweet treats. With all your meals paid for in advance, you know what your food costs will be before your vacation begins. One swipe of your Key to the World Card at the counter cash register and your credits are deducted. While the dining plans do not offer the big savings they once did, you do still come out ahead for the amount of food provided. The Disney Dining Plan can also help you grab a little more enjoyment out of your vacation by ending each meal with dessert and keeping you from agonizing over the $2.00 difference in price between the entree you really want and the cheaper one you feel you should order to save a few bucks. Did I mention lunch and dinner comes with dessert?!

If you are on an extremely tight budget and plan to forgo desserts, pack your own snacks, and eat a few sandwiches and breakfast pastries in your room, you could manage to come out ahead of the dining plan cost, but this will require effort, planning, and no ice cream.

If you choose the quick-service plan, make the most of your snack credits. Some snacks, such as pastries or fruit, can pass as breakfast. Also consider spending multiple snack entitlements at once on unique treats to take home. A sweet Disney experience is to hit Goofy's Candy Company and pile up on snacks using your accumulated credits. Or keep your eye out as you visit the parks and resorts for delicious bites to stash in your luggage to provide some of the sweetness of your vacation once you are home.

Please let me know if you have more questions.
