Hi, Teeatta!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and congratulations on your pregnancy! I’m glad to hear you’re planning a trip to the Happiest Place on Earth. I visited both of the
Disneyland Resort theme parks during various stages of pregnancy with my little ones and was able to enjoy many attractions safely and comfortably.
There’s no need to feel like you have to miss out on all the fun! I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised by how many attractions you can experience as a pregnant mom--I know I was when I was expecting! However, there are a handful of thrill rides in each theme park that pregnant women are advised to avoid. Try visiting the
Attractions page at
disneyland.com and select the Expectant Mothers Advisory box under the Accessibility & Advisories tab. This will generate a list of attractions you should not ride while pregnant in the interest of your and your baby’s safety.
When I was pregnant and exploring the theme parks, it helped to build some downtime into our days. Be sure to take breaks to enjoy a cool drink and snack in a shady spot. A ride on the Disneyland Railroad offers shade and fresh air, with the added benefit of a relaxing, scenic trip around the park from the comfort of your seat. You can also ask for free cups of ice water at any quick-service restaurant to prevent dehydration and combat swelling from the time spent on your feet.
I hope this information is helpful, Teeatta! Please feel free to stop by again with any other questions you can dream of as your pixie-dusted vacation draws near.
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
