This was answered, but I couldn't read the whole response. 10 yr old grandson has MD, uses a wheelchair. Are Castaway Cay walkways such that he can be wheeled to the beach from the ship or restaurants? He can walk a little. Many, many thanks!

    Hi Arlene,

I'm sorry that you couldn't read the entire response.  I'm posting it again for you.  Thanks for writing back and letting me know!

The paths at Castaway Cay are paved, but getting to the water's edge is not.  Please visit Guest Services as soon as you arrive onboard.   There are sand wheelchairs available free of charge on a first come, first served basis.  These wheelchairs are equipped with special tires that can move along the sandy beaches with ease and will allow your grandson full access of the beautiful beaches on Castaway Cay.  Please make sure to check out the webpage that I've attached.  Disney makes special provisions to accommodate Guests with Disabilities as they want to ensure that every Guest has an exceptional time on their sailing.

I hope this helps.  Please let me know if you have any other questions.  Thanks for visiting the Moms Panel, and I'm wishing your grandson a magical trip!
