All annual passholders currently are required to
make a reservation at a specific theme park on most days. The number of reservations you can hold varies with the kind of pass you have. I've got the Sorcerer's Pass, so I can hold up to five reservations at a time. Incredi-Pass holders also can have up to five reservations, the Pirate Pass can have up to four and the Pixie Dust Pass up to three.
If you are staying at a hotel in the
Disney Resorts Collection, you can make an additional park reservation for each day of your stay.
So
how do you make the reservation? I think the easiest way is to go to the
My Disney Experience Mobile App. At the bottom of the screen, you will see a + sign. Click that and choose "Make or Modify Park Reservations," then follow the prompts.
You will choose the date and the park for your reservation. In some cases, you will see that you've chosen a "Good to Go" day, when reservations aren't required.
You can also
make or modify a reservation on the Walt Disney World website.
As an annual passholder, you have unlimited parkhopping privileges. But you will need to begin your day at the park for which you have a reservation. For example, if you have a reservation for Magic Kingdom, you will need to tap into the entrance there first before you move to a different park. You don't have to stay a specific amount of time as long as you enter.
I seldom have any issues getting a reservation at my first-choice park. I frequently make my reservation on the morning of an impromptu visit without difficulty, though I recommend making your reservations as far in advance as you can if you have specific plans. Reservations are most limited during busy periods such as holidays or when a new ride or attraction opens.
