Hey there, James! I always love seeing a fellow North Carolinian stop by here at planDisney.
James, I'm sorry to hear that you won't be renewing your Walt Disney World Annual Pass this year? By chance did you get to take a look at all of the new plans that are being released on September 8th? I am actually really excited about the change where passholders are now getting 5 park pass reservations to use without a resort stay! This is going to make planning my long weekends at Walt Disney World a lot easier. Before you make up your mind, be sure to check out all of the new information that just came out yesterday about the
new Walt Disney World Annual Pass program.
What you are seeing is the renewal window for your Walt Disney World Annual Pass. Passholders are able to renew 60 days prior to their expiration date and up to 30 days after to receive the renewal discount. This is not an extension of your pass. If you have not renewed your annual pass, you can't go to the parks up to 30 days after and use it. This is only for renewal discount purposes only.
If you let your Walt Disney World Annual Pass expire and you don't plan on purchasing another one, you have
two options for tickets. You can purchase a standard Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket that allows entry into one Walt Disney World Theme Park per day. The other option is to upgrade to include the park hopper option. Park hopping is where you can visit multiple Walt Disney World Theme Parks in one day. The choice is yours but I am partial to park hopping. It is my favorite way to spend a Disney day.
I hope this helps, James. If you have any other questions about the all-new Walt Disney World Annual Pass program or anything else, please feel free to come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help.
Have a great day!
