Hiya Stephanie - welcome to
planDisney!
I have some great news that I hope will make this process even easier. Did you know that you can
renew your Annual Pass up to 60 days
prior to its expiration? I don't know when your pass expires, but you mentioned that it was before your trip in February, which means that you should be eligible to renew sometime in the next four weeks or so!
Renewing is super easy and
can be done online through your My Disney Experience account. If your plans require you to purchase Theme Park Tickets now with your family, the value of your unused ticket should be eligible to be applied to your Annual Pass renewal, but there are a couple of catches. First, you'll need to do it
over the phone or in person - less convenient, but totally doable.
Unfortunately, Stephanie, the other catch is that you will lose the
Park Pass Reservations you made for your ticket - they will
not transfer to your Annual Pass. It is always possible that the Cast Member helping you with the renewal/upgrade can find some pixie dust up their sleeves, but I would
not plan for that under any circumstances.
Long story short, I think you should try to wait and renew your pass the old-fashioned way if you can. Further, I suggest renewing on the very first day you are eligible - prices and availability can change at any time!
I hope this information is helpful, Stephanie -
stop by any time with more questions for us!
