When do annual passes start? From the day you receive them in the mail(or certificate) or from the first day you use them?

    Hi Preston!

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with this excellent question. Becoming an Annual Passholder is truly magical! I am an Annual Passholder, and I love the flexibility of hopping in and out of the four theme parks at Walt Disney World Resort as well as all of the special benefits and discounts associated with being an Annual Passholder.

To answer your question, the effective date of your Annual Pass is the date you activate it and not the date you purchase it or receive it in the mail. For example, if you purchase a Walt Disney World Resort Annual Pass online on June 1, 2016, but you do not activate it until August 1, 2016, the effective date will be August 1, 2016.

So, how do you go about activating your Annual Pass? You can activate your Annual Pass at any Walt Disney World Resort theme park ticket window, or at a Disney Springs Guest Services location. You will just need to bring the exchange certificate you will receive in the mail and a valid photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport.

I hope this helps answer your question, Preston! Please stop back and let me know if you have any additional questions about your upcoming vacation.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
