    I see annual passes start date is when you enter WDW and activate them. But will Disney send you your magic band ahead of time when you book your reservation so you can have it already linked and ready to activate? Thank you in advance for your help.

    Welcome and thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your excellent question about Walt Disney World Resort annual passes and MagicBands.

    Unfortunately, Passholders do not receive their complimentary annual passholder MagicBands in advance of their vacations or when they arrive at Walt Disney World Resort. In order to customize the MagicBand that you will receive as an annual passholder you must first activate your annual pass, in person, at Walt Disney World Resort.

    However, if you are staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel your are eligible to receive a MagicBand in advance of your check-in date or at the time of your arrival! Once you link your Walt Disney World Resort hotel reservation to your My Disney Experience account, you will see the option to customize your MagicBand.

    Don't forget to customize the annual band you receive as an annual passholder when you return home. You can use your multiple MagicBands interchangeably the next time you visit Walt Disney World Resort!

    If you are not staying at a Disney Resort hotel, but would still like to have a MagicBand during your vacation, you can buy one online or in person when you arrive to Walt Disney World Resort and easily link it to your My Disney Experience account.
