Hi Tracy,
Welcome to planDisney and thank you for reaching out to us with your question about the new
Annual Passholder Program. It looks like you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort early next year, with the
50th Anniversary Celebration in full effect I am sure you are going to make some wonderful memories.
Walt Disney World Annual Passes are available for purchase for all guests right now, allowing guests to enjoy a full year of Disney magic and special benefits. When purchasing an Annual Pass, Florida Residents are able to use the payment plan as a perk. All other guests are required to pay in full at the time of purchase. Guests are required to show proof of residency in order to qualify for the monthly payment program.
On the other hand, if you have booked a
Walt Disney World Resort Vacation Package that includes both Theme Park Tickets and a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel you will be able to make payments toward your vacation package at your convenience, up to your pay in full date. When you arrive at Walt Disney World Resort you could upgrade those Theme Park Tickets to an Annual Pass and the value that you have already paid will transfer to your Annual Pass and the balance owing will be significantly less. The final balance for upgrading your Theme Park Tickets to an Annual Pass will also be required to be paid in full at the time of upgrade, but you will have already paid for part of the purchase.
I hope you have a magical visit to Walt Disney World Resort this January, Tracy. If you have any other questions please come back and visit planDisney again, we are always happy to help.
