I have annual passes at both Disneyland and DisneyWorld. I recently got married and changed my name. Can a name change be done online or is it better to do it at the park, at guest services? I’m assuming they’ll need a copy of my marriage certificate?

    Hiya, Cynthia,

Congratulations on your recent marriage! I hope that you have had an opportunity to celebrate at the Disney Parks already. As both a Disneyland Resort Magic Key holder and a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder, I’m sure you’ll have plenty of magical opportunities for celebration yet.

For your convenience, you may update your personal information directly within the Disneyland mobile app. Here are the steps:
    1. Tap the triple-lined “more” button on the lower-right of the app.
    2. Find and tap the “My Profile” button.
    3. Tap the “Account Settings” button. At this point, you may be required to re-enter your password or verify your identity with your device’s Face ID or fingerprint lock.
    4. Scroll to the “Personal Information” section and modify your name.
    5. Update any other personal information that may be out-of-date.
    6. Tap the “Done” button.

At that point, you should get an email notifying you that your account information has been updated. I tried it out just now. Because I use the same Disney account for both Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World, I can confirm that this procedure updated my name on both my Magic Key pass in the Disneyland app and my Annual Passport in the Walt Disney World My Disney Experience app. Though I did need to at least enter the Account Settings on the other app and then force-quit the app to convince it to synchronize with the new information. At that point, you should be ready to go!

“Come on, everybody! Get your ears on. It’s a good, good, good, good time!” I hope you and your new spouse have a good time as you continue your adventures at the Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World.

    See ya real soon!
