Hi Vicki,
Welcome to planDisney!
My crystal ball has not been the best lately. I keep looking but cannot see a single thing! Annual passes are still not available to purchase for Walt Disney World Resort. As a member of the
Annual Passholder family I understand your dilemma. Our passes were extended during the closure and I have just recently renewed them. The dining and merchandise discounts were pretty amazing!
With so many exciting updates happening over the next few months, I suggest that you keep your eye on the
Annual Passes: Know Before You Go information. Looking at your anticipated arrival date, you may need to reserve a vacation package with theme park tickets. If Annual Passes become available before your final payment is due on your
vacation package, you should be able to cancel that vacation package and book just the
resort hotel room. Be sure to double-check availability and cancellation penalties before making changes.
Also, check the
Special Offers when booking your resort stay. If you must book a package with theme park tickets, it's nice to get the best deal possible. Once you make that reservation (if you have not done so already), check the
theme park availability calendar and use the
Disney Park Pass system to make your park pass reservations. If others are traveling with you, make sure they are connected through your
My Family & Friends List in
My Disney Experience.
Vicki, what is most important is making sure you can make those park pass reservations, so I highly recommend that you book a vacation package as soon as possible and then continue to check the status of Annual Pass sales online. While you are checking, there is still plenty of planning to do! Make your advanced dining reservations 60-days in advance. On our last visit, our dining reservations went so smoothly, and I was so glad we made those reservations given the limited capacity in restaurants at the time of our visit. Sending you some annual passholder pixie dust hoping you will be able to purchase those Annual Passes soon!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
