I have an Annual Pass and purchased a room only. There are 5 other people staying who purchased their tickets separately (no AP) can we still add the dining plan to the room? I understand there is no option to purchase a DP at this time, but if it returns?

    Hi Cassandra,

Thank you for sending your question to us here at planDisney!  I am so excited to see that you are planning a visit to Walt Disney World Resort, I am sure you will have a magical time!

You are correct that the Disney Dining Plan is currently unavailable for guests at this time.  However, in the future if the Disney Dining Plan becomes available, to add the Disney Dining Plan, you will be able to modify your existing reservation.  Annual Passholders are able to add the Disney Dining Plan to Room-Only Resort Reservations for themselves and the guests on the reservation, so if your additional guests are added to your reservation they will be able to add the Dining Plan as well.  I have had an Annual Pass for years, and have frequently used the Passholder Room Only Reservation for our stays.  My husband and daughter are not Annual Passholders and I had no problems adding them to my Reservation, including the Dining Plan.  You will have to call a Cast Member in order to make the changes and modify your existing reservation after initially booking the Resort Hotel.  (407) WDW-PASS is an exclusive phone number to answer questions and provide support to Annual Passholders or you could also call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations at (407) 939-1936.  The other caveat would be that everyone on the reservation would need to purchase the Disney Dining Plan, guests staying in the same resort hotel room all have to have the same plan.

You mentioned that everyone in your party has Theme Park Tickets, don't forget to make your Theme Park Reservations using the Disney Park Pass system to guarantee your entrance into your chosen Theme Park for each day of your stay.

I would also recommend checking the Disney Parks Blog and the official Walt Disney World Resort Website frequently for the most up to date information about the phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort.

I hope you have a magical time on your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World Resort, Cassandra.  Please let us know if you have any other questions, we are always happy to help.
