Hi Janet!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you so much for being a
Walt Disney World Resort Annual Passholder this yEAR! Don't forget to like and follow the
Disney Parks Blog across all of their social media pages so you won't miss a minute of the new and now, and any exclusive Passholder experiences!
I'm happy to report that any guest visiting Mickey's house is welcome to check out most non-pool related
Disney Resort Hotel amenities, including
playgrounds, which are located at select resort hotels. While you're visiting these resort hotels, feel free to check out their shops and
arcades, too. And don't forget to bring along your
Refillable Resort Beverage Mug that works at the Beverage Stations at the
Quick-Service Dining Locations in all Disney Resort Hotels.
If you're planning to 'Resort Hop', here are my favorites to visit and why:
~
Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter: The walkways between the main building, the playground and the guest room buildings look like they came straight out of The Princess and The Frog. There's a convenient outdoor bar steps away from the playground. You can rent bikes and schedule a carriage ride over here. And at Scat Cat's Club Lounge you can order Mickey-Shipped Beignets all day long. This resort is also connected to Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside by both a walking path AND a ferryboat that also visits Disney Springs.
~
Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort: Between boat and canoe rentals, an archery experience, borrowing a basketball or volleyball, even pony rides, you could easily spend an entire day here. And I think you should. You could start your visit at Trail's End Restaurant, which is constantly named one of the best hidden dining gems (as well as best brunches) on property, follow it up by all of these awesome activities, take in either the first or second showing of my favorite Dinner Show
Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue, and be done in time for
Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Sing-A-Long.
~Lastly,
Disney's Art of Animation Resort for their so many fun life-size (and some larger-than-life!) recreations of scenes from your favorite Disney Movies, like Radiator Springs from Cars. You'll definitely want to bring your camera for this one. While you're here you can easily visit Disney's Pop Century Resort across Hourglass Lake, and then fly over to Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort thanks to the brand new
Disney Skyliner.
I hope this helped to plan your Disney Days, Janet, and We'll See You Real Soon!
~Kristen
