I am an annual pass member but my family is not. We are all traveling to the parks together, but part of my party is getting dropped off to the parks earlier. Do I have to leave and come back with the rest of the party in order to get free parking?

Hi Yasmin and welcome to planDisney!

I just love being a Florida resident and a Walt Disney World Passholder!  It gives me the flexibility to visit as often as possible and I sure do take advantage of that.  There are many wonderful perks that come with having an annual pass and complimentary theme park parking is just one of them.

In order to take advantage of the complimentary parking for Walt Disney World Passholders, you have to be in the car that is passing through the parking booth.  The Cast Member will scan your annual pass and ask for identification.  If you are not with the party that will be parking later in the day, then you will need to leave and come through the parking gates with them in order to park for free.  Also, if your party is staying at a Disney Resort hotel, complimentary theme park parking is included.

Walt Disney World recently released some exciting Passholder Buzz that is coming up.  If you have an EPCOT day planned, you can stop by Creations Shop and pick up a complimentary special Oswald Passholder magnet from September 20th to October 23rd, while supplies last.  More exciting news is that Passholders get the chance to experience Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana before it opens to the public.  It is open on select days for Passholders and you must have an EPCOT park reservation to attend.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
