Hi Amanda,
Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am in the middle of a debate with myself over whether to renew my Annual Pass or let it expire and purchase a new pass before my next
Walt Disney World Resort vacation. If I renew my pass I will receive a discount and keep the same expiration date. If I wait and purchase a new pass, it might cover another trip I have planned.
You can renew an
Annual Pass at a slight discount 60 days before or 30 days after it expires. By these rules, your new Annual Pass would not be considered a renewal. You would have to activate your new pass when you visit the Walt Disney World Resort. This gives you lots of flexibility should your dates change. Be sure to keep an eye on the
Passholder Program for information about discounts, extras, and limited-time offers for Passholders!
Since you have been a Passholder before I'm sure you know this, but having an Annual Pass makes it all too easy to plan spur of the moment trips to the Walt Disney World Resort. When you combine having the Annual Pass for park entry with a great Passholder discount on a resort hotel it becomes difficult to resist!
Amanda, thank you for visiting us with another great question. I hope you'll let me know if I can help you with any other planning questions!
Wishing you happy planning,
Amy H.
