I have a annual pass and am hoping to visit Disney World this summer. I need to find out when my pass is valid - what days can I visit? how can I get this information?

Hi there, Fred! Welcome to planDisney from a fellow Floridian and Annual Passholder! I'm happy to help you plan some fun summer days at the Walt Disney World Resort!

Okay, let's jump right into your question. First, we need to know which Florida Resident Annual Pass you have so we can see if you're subject to blockout dates. If you already know whether your Annual Pass is Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, or one of the other passes available, the easiest way to find your valid dates is to check the Admission Calendar. You'll just select the level of pass you have, and the calendar will show you the dates you can use it. Dates shaded in gray are blockout dates for your particular pass, while green means "GO!"

Generally, Silver Annual Passes are blocked out this summer from June 1 - August 4. Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus are valid all summer long.

If you're not sure which pass you have, head over to the Walt Disney World website and look for the blue "Sign In or Create Account" prompt just above the menu bar. Once you've signed in, roll your cursor over the "My Disney Experience" logo to the right of that menu bar and select "My Plans." Next, scroll down to "My Plans, Reservations and Tickets" and click on the blue text that says "Tickets & Memory Maker." And Hot Dog! We're finally there! You'll see your Annual Passes and which Guest each one is assigned to, along with the expiration date. This will also tell you if you have a Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, or other Florida Resident Annual Passes. That's helpful info to keep track of which benefits you have with your pass. Once you've confirmed your pass level, hop over to the Admission Calendar I linked above to see your valid dates.

Fred, don't forget that you'll need to make a Disney Park Pass reservation before you head over to Walt Disney World. Disney requires all Guests to make them in advance, so it's a really important part of your planning process. You can see which theme parks have reservations available on the dates you'd like to go by taking a look at the Theme Park Reservation Availability Calendar. Be sure to click on "Annual Passes" to see availability specifically for Passholders.

I hope this helps you make the most of your Disney days this summer, Fred. Have fun, stay cool, and please do come see us again if you have any more questions!

    Keep Disney Dreaming,

    Kathy K.

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
