Come 1/9/24. Will annual pass holders still need park reservations?

    Hi Colleen,

Welcome to planDisney! There are so many exciting updates coming in January 2024 like all-day park hopping, the Disney dining plan, and changes to theme park reservation requirements.

Beginning January 9, 2024, theme park reservations will no longer be required for guests visiting with date-based tickets. Guests with Annual Passes will still need to make theme park reservations if visiting the theme parks before 2:00 PM. And, starting January 9, 2024, you will be able to park hop at any time after visiting your first theme park

There are some instances in which Annual Passholders do not require theme park reservations. If you are visiting the theme parks after 2:00 PM on weekdays, you do not need a reservation. At this time, you cannot visit Magic Kingdom Park after 2:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays without a theme park reservation. Beginning January 11, 2024, “Good-To-Go Days” will be added to the Annual Passholder admissions calendar. Annual Passholders do not require theme park reservations on good-to-go days. These dates may be released days or weeks in advance so keep checking that reservation calendar as you get closer to your vacation.

I hope this clarifies the upcoming changes to theme park reservations, Colleen. , Keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for more announcements that will make your vacation planning easier in the future. And we’ll be here to help answer your questions at planDisney!
