For 2024 if I am an annual pass holder staying on site with a park reservation for Magic Kingdom on 4th of July. If the park reaches capacity and closes can I still get back in later in the day if I am there in the morning and leave

Hi there, Ken, and welcome to planDisney!

Your vacation is only a few weeks away—I know that you’re counting down the days until you’ll take in the sights, sounds (and smells!) of the O.G. Florida theme park. While you’re there, be sure to grab a Virtual Queue spot for TRON Lightcycle / Run and the brand-new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. It’s going to be a great time!

I reached out to a friendly Cast Member to make sure that I gave you the most accurate information because I know that this will directly affect your plans. Even if you’re staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel or have a theme park reservation at Magic Kingdom Park, you will still be subject to theme park capacity. As you know, the Fourth of July can be very busy at Magic Kingdom Park, so there is a chance that it could reach capacity. I recommend taking advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, leaving for a late morning break, and getting back before early afternoon.

My family and I always have Plans B and C when vacationing, so I recommend that you have a backup. In this case, if Magic Kingdom Park reaches capacity. Consider heading to EPCOT instead. Because you have an annual pass, you would be able to park hop there if you have already scanned into Magic Kingdom Park earlier in the day. EPCOT has a spectacular Fourth of July show, too.

Ken, please revisit us here at planDisney if you have additional Disney vacation planning questions. Any one of us will be more than happy to lend a Mickey hand.

    Magic always,
