If you are an annual pass holder and purchase a room only vacation, can you add the Dining Plan at Check-in?

    Hi Richard,

Being able to add the Disney Dining Plan to a room-only reservation at Walt Disney World is a wonderful perk of being an annual passholder.  However, there are typically some restrictions as to when you can purchase the Disney Dining Plan with a room-only reservation.  For instance, even though we had an annual passholder in our room last September, we were unable to purchase the Disney Dining Plan during our stay because we were not staying in a Disney resort on an annual passholder rate.  Thus, we were ineligible to purchase the Disney Dining Plan for that trip.  Check with the Disney travel office at (407) W-DISNEY or with your preferred travel agent to determine if the room you have booked fits the qualifications to add the Disney Dining Plan.  Also, book your Disney Dining Plan at least three days in advance of your arrival as these plans typically cannot be added at the time of check-in.

I do hope you will be able to add the Disney Dining Plan for your upcoming trip.  It's a great, flexible way to save money on food at Walt Disney World.  However, even if you are ineligible to add the plan for this trip, don't forget that annual passholders enjoy discounts at select restaurants throughout Walt Disney World. Be sure to check out the list of participating restaurants before you depart.

    Have a great vacation!
