Hi there, Michelle! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney!
It sounds like you and I were doing the same thing today. Planning our 2024 trips to
Walt Disney World Resort! I'm always dreaming of my next visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth. Making those dreams a reality by getting that trip officially booked is one of my favorite
Disney thrills.
When booking a trip to Walt Disney World Resort, Guests have a couple of options. They may book a
vacation package that includes both a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation and
theme park tickets. When reserving a vacation package, the same type of theme park tickets must be purchased for every Guest included in the reservation. Guests also have the option to reserve a room and purchase tickets separately. This is how I plan my family vacations. Since I am an
Annual Passholder but my husband and children are not, I always must book a room-only reservation and then purchase tickets for the rest of my family members separately.
Michelle, I recommend
calling the Help Center to see if the vacation package that you booked can be canceled or modified. Policies are always subject to change, but typically a vacation package can be canceled up to 30 days before arrival, so you most likely will be able to cancel the package that you reserved. Once you get that squared away, you can book a room-only resort hotel reservation and purchase tickets for the non-passholders in your party separately.
If you have any other questions while you're planning for your trip, please visit us at planDisney again. Wishing you a magical vacation!
