Hi Julie! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for stopping by with your question!
I'm really glad you're double-checking before your visit! Water park days are meant to be as smooth and relaxing as possible, so it's always worth confirming the details ahead of time.
When it comes to specially priced or discounted tickets tied to an
Annual Passholder, the Passholder does need to be present with their Guests for those tickets to be used. Since the discount is a benefit of your Annual Pass,
Walt Disney World requires that you accompany your party when they enter the water park.
In practice, that means you would need to go with them to
Typhoon Lagoon and enter together. Once you're inside, your group is free to enjoy the park however you'd like, but the initial entry is the important part where your presence is required.
I know it would sometimes be more convenient to let Guests go on their own, especially on a more relaxed water park day, but because the tickets are offered at a reduced rate through your Passholder benefits, Disney does tie their use to you being there.
Julie, I hope this helps you plan your day with confidence. Whether you're floating down Castaway Creek or just soaking up the sunshine, I hope it's a fun and refreshing day for everyone.
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
