Hi Jean. Thanks for bringing your great question to us here at planDisney.
As you likely know,
annual passes can be a great value for anyone that is looking to visit the
Walt Disney World Resort multiple times throughout a calendar year. And recently, some policies were changed so that Annual Passholders can visit any of the theme parks after 2 p.m. without a
Theme Park Reservation any day, except on Saturdays and Sundays at
Magic Kingdom Park (
pass blockout dates still apply). This allows for more flexibility and spontaneity!
To take advantage of the
perks and discounts available to Annual Passholders, including discounts on
Disney Resorts Collection Hotels, your annual pass would need to be activated. I confirmed with a Cast Member that you would be able to book a room with a discount
over the phone but you would need to show your activated annual pass at the front desk when you check in. If your annual pass isn't activated at that time, you would be charged the nondiscounted price for your room.
To activate your annual pass, simply visit any
Guest Relations or ticket window outside of the theme parks or the
Disney Ticket Center at
Disney Springs. Just be sure to bring a photo ID with you and if you're activating a Florida resident pass, make sure your documentation satisfies the guidelines on the
Proof of Florida Residence page.
Jean, I hope you enjoy your upcoming visits to the Walt Disney World Resort. Be sure to
wave hello to Moana at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park for me. It's not often you see her on land, so you have to seize the opportunity while you can!
If you have any other questions, please
reach out and ask. We want nothing more than for you to find your happily ever after on your next vacation!
There's more beyond the reef,
Matt
