As an annual pass holder, can we attend rope drop?

    Hi Katy,

Welcome to planDisney! Thanks for stopping by with a question about your next Walt Disney World visit. There are technically two “rope drop” moments in each theme park. The first is Early Theme Park Entry for Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests. Anyone staying at a Disney Resort hotel gets to enter the theme parks 30 minutes prior to other guests. Once that 30 minutes elapses, the second “rope drop” occurs for all other guests when the park officially opens. As an Annual Passholder, if you are staying at a Disney Resort hotel, you can take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry. If you aren’t staying on Disney property, you will be able to “rope drop” with other day guests when the parks open. Plan to arrive at the entrance of the park you plan to enter around 45-60 minutes prior to when it opens. You’ll be one of the first day guests to enter.

If you’re ever interested in taking advantage of Early Theme Park Entry, remember that you receive a special discount on rooms as an Annual Passholder. There are so many great perks that come with being a Passholder, like merchandise discounts and special experiences. Be sure to take full advantage of these perks.

I hope this information is helpful, Katy. If you have additional questions about Walt Disney World, be sure to come back to planDisney and let us know. Until then, TTFN… ta-ta for now!
