Hello, April. Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question.
I've been an
Annual Passholder for several years now and have quite enjoyed the perks of the program. From complimentary parking at the Walt Disney World Theme Parks to discounts of select Walt Disney World Hotel stays - I've used them all. April, I know you must be itching to rejoin the Walt Disney World Annual Pass family once again. However, at this time, the sale of new Walt Disney World Annual Passes has been temporarily suspended. This happened when Walt Disney World reopened last summer and we still don't know when the program will return. I don't think it will be long until they resume the sale of new passes. Currently, Walt Disney World is allowing Guests who have current Annual Passes that are about to expire the ability to renew. This tells me that the program isn't going anywhere and they are just waiting to sell new passes until capacity can be higher. The renewal window for Annual Passes is 60 days prior to the expiration date and up to 30 days after. Unfortunately, you are outside of this window and are not eligible for renewal. When the program returns, you will be able to purchase a new Annual Pass if you choose.
Depending on the type of ticket your husband has linked to his account, he may or may not be able to apply it toward the purchase of an Annual Pass. Typically, if the ticket is partially used it will have an expiration date. Because I'm not sure what type of ticket he has or if it is still valid, I can't say for sure. When the Annual Pass program opens back up, I would suggest calling the
helpline for existing tickets at (407) 566-4985. They will be able to look at his tickets and see if they can be applied toward an Annual Pass or not.
April, I have my fingers crossed that you will be able to rejoin the Walt Disney World Annual Passholder family very soon. If you have any other questions about the passholder program or anything else, please come back and
ask me. I'm happy to help!
