Hello, if my annual pass had an expiration date past the date Disneyland closed down due to covid, will that time be compensated once the park reopens?

    Hey Nestor!

I’m glad you found us here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, welcome!

I see you are part of the Disney Annual Passholder family. By now, I’m sure that you have heard that Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park are planning to reopen just in time to celebrate 65 years of Magic at the Disneyland Resort. Disneyland Park opened almost 65 years ago and if Walt could see it now, he would be so proud of where it has come.

I’m in the same boat as you are and there were a couple of options available to Annual Passholders depending on how you paid for your Annual Passport. If you were on the monthly payment plan then payments were automatically suspended on April 4th 2020, and any payments that were collected from March 14th to April 4th were refunded. Your expiration date will stay the same and payments will resume once the park is open. You do have the option of having your payments extended for the amount of time the parks were closed which would then give you a new expiration date. If you would like this option you’ll need to call Annual Passholder Member Services.

If you’ve already paid in full, then your pass will automatically be extended for the amount of time that the parks were closed. As an alternative option, you can receive a partial refund for the amount of time that the parks were closed. Again, you would need to call for this alternative option.

Well Nestor, I hope this information finds you well and whatever route you choose to take will be the best route for you.

Remember, always believe in the Magic!
