Is the annual pass 365 days, or does it expire the evening of december 31st?

    Hi Julia!

I'm happy to read that you're interested in becoming a Walt Disney World Annual Passholder!  Passholders receive lots of great perks including dining and hotel discounts among others.  The flexibility of visiting whenever I want is the best perk of them all!

Walt Disney World annual passes are valid for an entire year and start on the day you activate them, not per calendar year.  So if your first visit is on August 18, 2019 (just picking a random date), you will have 365 days starting August 18th and it would end on August 17, 2020.  As a bonus in my example, you would actually have 366 days because 2020 is a leap year!

Annual passes can be purchased in advance online or in person when you arrive at Walt Disney World at any ticket window or at any Guest Services window including at the Walt Disney World Water Parks or Disney Springs.

Please stop back by if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
