Hello I have annual pass and I have a child that going to turn 3 this March what will happen would I need to buy her a full price annual pass or can I just pay the remaining moths left when Disneyland opens?

    Hey Claudia!

    Welcome to planDisney!

I hope you enjoyed being an Annual Passholder at the Disneyland Resort as much as I did. With all the perks and benefits it was nice to get a little bit extra on top of admission to the parks. The discount on dining and merchandise may have been my favorite perk!

Once your child turns three, they will need a ticket for admission or a new Annual Passport for the full 12 months. If I were in your shoes I would let your passes “expire” and not choose the option to extend the expiration date on your Annual Passports once the parks reopen.

If you already paid in full then choose the option to receive a refund for the time the parks were closed. It is highly likely that your passport has already expired or will expire before the parks reopen. Take that money and then purchase new Annual Passports for everyone once the parks open and sales resume. That will keep everyone with the same expiration date and allow you to get the full value of the passes.

If you were on the payment plan then your payments have already stopped and you haven’t been making payments for quite some time. Again it is highly likely that your pass already expired or will expire before the parks open. Do not choose the option to extend the expiration date and resume payments once the parks reopen. Once the parks reopen and sales resume, you can purchase new Annual Passports for everyone and keep the same expiration date.

Alternatively you could purchase individual tickets for your three year old on the days you visit for the remaining time on the Annual Passports. New ticket sales may not be immediately available once the parks reopen and therefore I would not recommend this option.

Well Claudia, I hope you found this information useful and if you want to get in touch with Ticket Services they can help you select the option that you want to move forward with on your Annual Passports.
