With the announcement of Star Wars Land coming to Hollywood Studios in the future, do you know if there will there be any discussion about changing Star Wars weekends from May/June to possible a more year round event?

    Hey Brian-

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

This communication just came in from Admiral Ackbar:

Recent announcements at D23 on planet Earth, the third planet from the sun in the Milky Way system, revealed construction plans important to both the Rebellion and the Empire. Scout transports have been sent yearly to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Annually, we have noted a large squadron of Stormtroopers lead by Sith Lords, Darth Vader and Darth Maul, occupying the area around and near Echo Lake. Almost consistently since 1997, several weeks in the months of May and June have show successful battles for the Rebellion at our Jedi Training Academy. As a result, we have decided to make a permanent base here. Recent word is the Empire is also considering this location. The timeframe is currently unknown.

Jedi Master Yoda stated regarding the future of Star Wars Weekends, “Difficult to see. Always in motion is the future.”  He advised us to stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for the latest information on the expansion of activities of both the Rebellion and the Empire year round at Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Brian, May the Force Be with You!
