Hello, with the announcement of the new magic key program at Disneyland I am planning on purchasing one of the tiers. My question is that I have already purchased two one day tickets for $114 each, can I apply this amount to the new magic key plan?

    Hi, Beverly!

Thanks for bringing a question to planDisney. Hooray, your visit to the Happiest Place on Earth is just around the pixie-dusted corner!

As a Legacy Passholder myself, I can’t wait to get back to the Happiest Place on Earth more often with the help of a Magic Key pass! One valid non-promotional theme park ticket can be used as credit toward the purchase of a pass when they become available on August 25, as long as the cost of the pass is greater than the paid value of the regular ticket. However, please keep in mind that promotional tickets, including the ones currently available to California residents, cannot be upgraded to a Magic Key pass.  Monthly payment plans will be available exclusively to California residents, and if you purchase a Magic Key pass in the first 66 days of the program, you'll get an exclusive welcome package that includes a limited-edition pin, magnet and map!

I hope this answers your question, Beverly, and that you’re able to unlock the magic soon! Please come back with any other Disneyland Resort vacation-planning questions you have.

    Wishing you magic,
