You are speaking my language when it comes to surprises and Disney Cruises. There is nothing I love more than surprising my own children on the day we actually set sail with Captain Mickey! Now, my approach might be a little extreme, but I really love the excitement that comes with sharing a surprise so big and with such little time to wait to experience it.
I'm sure you'll know just the right time to surprise your son. While Disney Cruise Line does not offer an announcement card to print, I do have a couple of ideas for you. First of all, you can
schedule a call from a favorite Disney Character to announce the news. If that sounds like a fun option for you, my pal Andrew

If you'd rather have your son physically open something (like a card or a gift), I recommend putting together a small bag with some "cruise essentials" like sunscreen, a swimsuit, and a Disney-themed shirt or sunglasses. You could pair it with this engaging
"My Disney Cruise Adventure Booklet" that you can download and print. If you don't want to print the entire booklet, you could even just print one of the coloring pages near the end of the booklet and then write a message to your son as a way to announce your surprise!
