Since it has been announced that Star Wars weekends have been cancelled, I was wondering if there will be another chance to dine with Star Wars Characters? My whole family loves Star Wars and we would really love a chance to dine with Jedi Mickey.

Hi Jillian! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. It is great to hear from you.

I have to admit that I was quite sad when they announced that Star Wars Weekends were cancelled. This was a favorite event for my family and we were even planning to visit this year. I do always try to look on the positive no matter how bummed I am, and it looks like the Walt Disney World Resort is already hard at work to create another amazing “land!” This new Star Wars themed Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios looks like it will be amazing.

As of now there are no details about any Star Wars Themed character dining experiences. I often speculate that maybe in the future this will be an option especially with how popular these offerings were last year. My best advice to you would be to follow the Disney Parks Blog as they have all of the latest and greatest news and announcements.

May the force be with you!
