Will the 50th anniversary have special ticket event like the Christmas party does or will a normal park ticket allow you in to any kind of celebration they will have?

Hello, Savanah! It's a pleasure to welcome you to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

October 1, 1971 was a momentous day and one that I too am anxious to celebrate! Can you believe that the Walt Disney World Resort and specifically Magic Kingdom Park is about to turn the BIG 5-0? It's bound to be a castle-sized party!

However, like Cinderella waiting for her Prince, we're going to have to wait just a bit longer for details to be released. As of today, no announcements have been made regarding how festivities will be held, but I'm on the edge of my seat. My best recommendation is to bookmark Disney Parks Blog and keep checking back for updates; I know I will be!

Savanah, in the meantime, make sure to watch the Imagineering Story on Disney+ where you can travel back in time and see the Walt Disney World Resort take shape from the beginning. It will definitely build your excitement for those fiftieth birthday plans whenever they're announced.

Savanah, until you are able to stand on Main Street, U.S.A. looking at Cinderella Castle with a birthday balloon in hand, I hope you keep on dreaming of your Disney vacation. And... don't forget to come back and see us with any other questions you might have. As Cinderella's Fairy Godmother was there to help her, we are here to help you.

    Wishing you a pixie-dusted day,
    Lauren

My husband and I became Disney Vacation Club Members because we love visiting the Disney Parks and with hectic day-to-day schedules, wanted to prioritize time away for our family. The options at the Walt Disney World Resort make each trip unique and I am excited to help other families build vacations with those unforgettable moments.
