Hi Ed,
To be able to celebrate your anniversary, as well as to see your grandson in a parade at Magic Kingdom, sounds splendid. Let me offer a few suggestions on making your trip even more magical.
Be sure to get "Happy Anniversary" buttons for you and your spouse. You can find these at Guest Relations at any theme park, or ask a cast member to point you to where to get them. They are available free of charge, and it is so much fun to hear cast members and guests wishing you a happy celebration on your special day. I suggest writing "45th" on the buttons so that everyone can honor the longevity of your marriage. You can also get buttons that say "Happily Ever After." When wearing these buttons, you never know when a little extra pixie dust may come your way. This is not guaranteed, which makes the surprise even better if it does happen.
Another way to celebrate is with a
specialty cruise. You could have a boat just for you and your spouse, or since it sounds like you are traveling with more family members, for the whole family. These cruises can be customized to be romantic just for the two of you, or fun for the whole family. You can book a cruise that would allow you to see the fireworks at Epcot or Magic Kingdom from the water.
Finally, to surprise your loved one with a little extra magic, consider working with
Disney Floral and Gifts. They can customize a gift for any occasion, including flowers, chocolate, balloons, and so much more. Once you peruse their website using the link I provided, I suggest that you call them at 407-WDW- GIFT (407-939-4438) and work directly with a Magic Maker to customize your gift.
I would love to help you plan more, Ed; however, I am limited in the space that I have to answer. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
