For the 50th anniversary medallions, do the machines take a certain type of currency? Only quarters or dollars or magic band? I want to make sure I have the right change prior to us arriving. The kids want to find them all. Thank you.

How ya doin' Courtney and welcome back to planDisney!

We love to see returning friends here and I hope to be able to keep you coming back. I love that your children are collectors. I'm absolutely crazy about Pin Trading and collecting so I definitely get it. After a bit of research, it looks like you can pay for the Walt Disney World 50th anniversary medallions and pressed coins with debit/credit cards and cash at locations around the property. If you're paying in cash, make sure to have exact bills because the machines don't give change. $1s, $5s, and $10s should do it. Now all that's left is to let the hunt for the medallions begin!

Courtney, thanks again for trusting us here at planDisney. Your continued support means the world to us. Good luck to the kids on their search!

    Happy hunting!
