Hiya, Kristin! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy—it sounds like you're planning a November adventure to The Happiest Place on Earth. You've picked such a special time to be there, right as the Disneyland Resort begins its seasonal shift from fall to festive! Imagine the crisp autumn air, the last delicious pumpkin spice treats of the season, and then, almost overnight, the air fills with the merry scent of peppermint mocha and gingerbread as the parks get ready to sparkle for the holidays. Talk about getting the best of both worlds!
Halloween Time will have just wrapped up on October 31st, and the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are set to begin on November 14th, 2025. While there may not be a full seasonal overlay during those in-between days, you’ll still feel that unmistakable Disney magic in the air—and you might even spot festive touches starting to appear as the elves (ahem, Cast Members!) work their holiday magic behind the scenes.
And as if that isn't enchanting enough—you’ll also be stepping into the heart of the
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration! This unforgettable milestone will continue delighting Guests through summer 2026, so you can count on being part of the fun during your visit.
While the full entertainment schedule for that “in-between” week hasn’t been announced just yet, there’s some exciting pixie-dusted potential! The
Disney Parks Blog recently shared that both the fan-favorite
Paint the Night parade and
World of Color Happiness! will be lighting up the nights during Halloween Time. So, while we can't say for sure, there's a good chance that these spectacular shows could continue into your visit, even in the days between Halloween and the holidays.
I'd recommend keeping a close eye on the
Disney Parks Blog and the
Disneyland Resort website as your travel dates approach—they’ll be the first to share official entertainment updates and schedules as soon as they’re announced!
And here’s another friendly tip for you, Kristin. Since your trip falls during this unique transition between seasons, you may find that some attractions or areas are undergoing temporary closures as Cast Members work to install the beautiful holiday overlays. Being flexible with your plans will ensure a smoother, more enjoyable visit. This could even be a wonderful opportunity to explore something new, like taking a stroll over to the lobby of
Disney's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. While the holiday season will officially kick off at the Disneyland Resort on November 14th, you might just get an early peek at the incredible gingerbread masterpiece taking shape in the Grand Californian or enjoy the stunning lobby decorated with early holiday cheer.
Kristin, whether you're sipping hot cocoa under the twinkling lights or snapping a photo with Mickey in his 70th Celebration best, your trip is sure to be unforgettable. Here's wishing you a visit full of magic, memories, and maybe even a Mickey-shaped treat or two!
See ya real soon!
