Hi, Margaret! Thank you so much for coming back to see me.
It's so exciting that you get to plan another
Walt Disney World vacation. I've always found Disney to be one of the most accommodating places when it comes to guests with disabilities.
Depending on the type of disability your friend's child has, you may want to look into the
Disability Access Service Card, which can help you navigate the theme park more efficiently. It works similarly to the
FastPass+ offering, in that you will be given a time to come back where you won't have to wait in as long a line. The return time is usually in about the same amount of minutes as the attraction wait time, so if you see an attraction with a 30 minute wait, you will likely be given a return time in about 20-30 minutes. That allows you to go see or do something else, or simply find a quiet spot to wait for a bit.
You will find
services for guests with disabilities available in each of the theme parks. Upon entering, you can grab a
theme park guide for guests with disabilities, which will help you figure out what the options are for the attractions in the theme park you are in.
Happy planning, Margaret!
