    Are there any animation classes my 13 year old granddaughter could take as an activity at Disney World?

    Hi Laura,

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting to plan a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort for your granddaughter!

    Though the Walt Disney World Resort pulls us into the magic with exciting rides and attractions, there are also opportunities to explore the creative genius of Imagineering. At Disney's Art of Animation Resort, there are drawing classes. Classes run on select days at 11:00, 2:00 and 5:00 p.m. Just inquire when you arrive as the schedule could change. Check out this answer from fellow panelist Jen for more information about drawing classes at the Walt Disney World Resort. 

    I also suggest that you consider the Disney Youth Education Series for your granddaughter if time permits. Although these programs are typically for groups, there are select programs on select dates that allow for individual registration. Just click on "Individual Enrollment" to see the program options. One of the classes that may peak her interest is Fundamentals of Photo Storytelling.
     
    Finally, depending on your travel dates, if you are at the Walt Disney World Resort during the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, your granddaughter could enjoy an art in action seminar or workshop with a professional artist. During the 2017 festival, for example, one workshop, "Painting with a Disney Artist," gave guests an opportunity to create their own memorable artwork.
