Is there an animal safari ride or tour inside the animal kingdom?

    Hi Kayla!

Thanks for sending your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You will be happy to know that Disney's Animal Kingdom offers both safari attraction and a tour! The Kilimanjaro Safaris attraction is one of the best attractions offered at the Disney Parks. Here you will board a safari truck which will take you on an 18-minute tour of the Savannah! My family and I love taking pictures of the hippos, lions, elephants and the giraffes (among other beautiful animals). This attraction offers FastPass+ so be sure to select this attraction when planning your vacation! If you are looking for a closer encounter experience, there are several tours available! These require advanced reservation and have a cost. Keep in mind that you would also have to have a separate entrance ticket for Disney's Animal Kingdom as well. One of the most popular tours are the Wild Africa Trek tour which is essentially a 3 hour  tour of the Savannah, where you will explore areas not included in the Kilimanjaro Safari! I highly recommend it!

Did you know?: Pandora - The World of Avatar recently opened at Disney's Animal Kingdom! This new land is breathtaking and features the most amazing attraction called Avatar Flight of Passage! Be sure to check it out!

It has been a pleasure assisting you Kayla! Please feel free to send any additional questions you may have!

    Happy Planning,
